Hello everyone, this is High I Car Reviews, and welcome to my first ever car review. Today, I'm excited to introduce the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE Hybrid AWD.
Starting with the exterior, the car boasts an imposing front grille and comes in a stunning Stormcloud color that seems to change shades throughout the day. Although this XLE model lacks LED fog lights, it features bright projector lamps and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, which enhance fuel economy and provide a smoother ride.
Inside, the driver's seat offers a luxurious experience with soft-touch materials throughout, including comfortable armrests and ample room. The steering wheel is equipped with a 7-inch analog display and a 12.3-inch Toyota Connect infotainment system with AI voice assistant. Notable features include adaptive cruise control and lane assist systems, which enhance the driving experience. The vehicle achieves an impressive 30.9 miles per gallon, which is commendable for an SUV of this size.
Moving to the back, the Grand Highlander is a three-row SUV with plenty of room. This model features bench seats and a rear climate control system, though it lacks the captain seats option. The sunroof is a standout feature, adding to the vehicle's appeal.
At the rear, the SUV has beautiful LED lights that look even better at night, along with blacked-out Toyota emblems. The XLE Hybrid AWD designation highlights its hybrid electric vehicle capabilities. In terms of cargo space, it offers 20.7 cubic feet with the third row up and expands to 57.9 cubic feet with the third row folded down, which is easily done with a lever.
Both the passenger and driver sides come with power seat adjustments. Under the hood, there's a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid engine, part of Toyota's shift towards more hybrid models. The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite includes impressive features like advanced lane assist, which I demonstrated during my review.

Toyota's off-road and truck offerings are the freshest they've ever been following a busy two years of new products, and after a long wait, it's finally time for the 4Runner to receive the modernization treatment. As predicted, the 2025 4Runner shares its platform with the new Tacoma pickup truck and comes standard with the same turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain that makes 278 horsepower. A hybrid model with 326 horsepower is also offered, but we review that model separately.
Toyota has retained the customary roll-down rear window, and the new 4Runner's exterior design remains square-jawed, handsome, and rugged. The rest of the package has been thoroughly updated, too, and optional tech features include a 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. A host of driver-assistance features are also offered, and many of them are standard. Don't think that the 4Runner has gone soft, though. It comes with plenty of off-roading gear to help you tackle whatever the trail throws at you. Expect to see the new 4Runner in Toyota showrooms by the end of 2024.
The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe boasts a bold, boxy design and significant updates, including a new third row for more passenger space. It features a turbocharged 277-hp 2.5-liter inline-four engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive optional.
The revamped interior is dominated by rectangular shapes and includes dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and the gauge cluster, along with numerous storage options. Standard driver-assistance features enhance safety, and the Santa Fe's maximum towing capacity reaches 4500 pounds with the XRT trim. Expect this adventurous SUV in showrooms by spring 2024.
The 2024 Honda Prologue marks Honda's latest venture into the EV market, featuring a sleek design that discreetly underscores its eco-friendly credentials. Built on a GM platform and utilizing the Ultium battery pack, it offers a single-motor setup with 212 horsepower or an optional dual-motor all-wheel drive with 288 horsepower.
The Prologue can achieve up to 296 miles per charge in front-wheel drive configurations. Positioned above the CR-V and similar in size to the mid-size Passport, it combines Honda’s signature interior design with practical features like an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. Expect to see it in showrooms by March 2024.
